Steven P. Opbroek

                          Sept 25, 1949 – March 23, 1971




Steven Paul Opbroek was born on September 25, 1949 in Pierre, SD. He attended Riggs High School and upon graduation, joined the service. He was a sergeant stationed at Fairfield Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington.

In August 16, 1969 he married Karen Bingen of Kennebec at the Ellsworth Air Force Base Chapel in Rapid City, SD.

Steven is survived by his wife Karen and their one year old son, Michael; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N.W. Opbroek and sisters, Mrs. Duane (Diana) Hunsley, Karen, Joan and Jean.

Steve died on March 23, 1971 at the Chamberlain Community Hospital as a result of an automobile accident. He was 21 years of age.
